Overhead Garage Storage Salt Lake City

There are two types of overhead racks; motorized and stationary.

Each 4’x8′ unit is strong enough to hold 750 lbs when hung from the ceiling and 1,000 lbs when one side is mounted to the wall. Motorized overhead racks are rated for 350 lbs of storage capacity.

Long-term items and items used less frequently, like bulky equipment or storage bins, are best stored on overhead racks.

There are a few significant differences between the two types of racks we offer. Most notably, motorized racks will move up and down by the control of an app installed on your phone. Normal racks are generally accessed by a ladder and can hold more weight.

Motorized racks are controlled by an app using a pulley-like system to raise and lower your stored items for easy access.

The overhead racks are powder-coated, industrial-grade steel frames to ensure the safety of each and every unit.

This is the right question, and it's different from how much our racks are rated to hold. Your ceiling's structural capacity depends on what you're anchoring into: solid joists, engineered trusses, or something in between. Most residential garage ceilings weren't designed to carry storage loads, which is why we assess the structure before installation. When it's anchored correctly, it's safe. We make sure it's done right every time.
